Cyberpunk noir adventure game

Zarathustra - Cybergeddon is a free adventure game for PC by indie developer Tim Rachor. It is a story-driven point-and-click experience set in a futuristic dystopia and features retro pixel graphics and art. Players are thrust into a neo-religious conflict between factions that will forever change the minds and beliefs of the world.

Similar to ANNO: Mutationem and Tales of the Neon Sea, Zarathustra - Cybergeddon boasts neo-noir styling with broody art and presentation. Players will take a deep investigative dive into the conflicting ideals involving technology and the organic nature of things and humans that exist in the world.

Of mind and body

Zarathustra - Cybergeddon is a point-and-click adventure taking place in a futuristic dystopian world wherein the discovery of alien technology and mysteries about the cosmos have opened new possibilities for technological advancements beyond organics. However, these revelations also come with moral implications that have people divided, resulting in the creation of two factions, the Church of Flesh and the Church of Neon, with conflicting ideals and beliefs.

The game follows Amy, an FBI agent with a cybernetic implant that houses the consciousness of another individual, you. She will need to navigate the intricacies and socio-political tensions of the said two groups while solving a case surrounding a stolen book from the Church of Flesh. You'll meet and interview multiple individuals from both philosophies during your investigation to help you shed light on the matter.

Along the way, collect various items and clues that will help you slowly piece the puzzle together and find out the truth behind the crime and what it means for the city as you know it. Do note that Zarathustra - Cybergeddon is still being developed, with only a few days (chapters) available. As per its developer, the rest will come depending on player reception and demand.

A thought-provoking experience

In conclusion, if you're a fan of point-and-click games, Zarathustra - Cybergeddon is one you should definitely check out for its intriguing narrative, setting, and presentation. Even more so, if you like sci-fi and noir themes. Hopefully, development for it progresses steadily and the full game will come out soon. Suffice it to say, this one is a must-play and gets an easy recommendation.
